Endorsement of the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi)
Wren Construction Limited is proud to formally and publicly endorse the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) as part of our strategic commitment to sustainability and climate responsibility. This endorsement represents our alignment with internationally recognised environmental standards and our proactive stance on climate change mitigation.
Formal and Public Adherence
This document serves as Wren Construction's formal statement of public adherence to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). We are actively preparing and submitting our commitment through the official SBTi registration process. Once validated, our participation will be listed on the SBTi public registry: https://sciencebasedtargets.org/companies-takingaction. Our public endorsement will also be featured on our company website and LinkedIn page, where we will share our sustainability commitments and progress updates. This reflects our transparency and accountability to stakeholders, clients, and the broader industry.
Our Commitment to the SBTi Framework
We commit to setting science-based emissions reduction targets in accordance with SBTi criteria. These targets will help Wren reduce our carbon footprint across Scopes 1, 2, and 3, aligning with the 1.5°C ambition of the Paris Agreement. This commitment forms part of our broader 2025–2027 sustainability roadmap, integrated within our ISO 14001-certified
Environmental Management System.
Strategic Implementation Measures
Identification and measurement of Scope 1 (direct), Scope 2 (indirect), and Scope 3 (value chain) greenhouse gas emissions.
Implementation of low-carbon procurement strategies and site delivery logistics.
Investments in energy-efficient tools, equipment, and sustainable building materials.
Training for staff and suppliers on carbon-conscious practices.
Public Communication and Verification
Wren Construction will publish the following to support our public endorsement:
A dedicated sustainability section on our website outlining our SBTi alignment.
A LinkedIn announcement confirming our commitment and intent to appear in the SBTi registry.
Inclusion of our SBTi goals and actions in future Annual Reports or Sustainability Briefings.
Broader ESG and CSR Integration
This initiative is part of a wider commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR). We are also reviewing alignment with:
The UN Global Compact
Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)
CDP and ISO 26000 standards
Our ESG reporting roadmap will evolve to reflect these frameworks, ensuring that our sustainability actions are benchmarked and externally credible.
